St Thomas Boat Wedding: Daydreamer

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Lucas! They recently had their St. Thomas boat wedding and I was honored to have been chosen to be their photographer! 

They’re a very laid back couple and they decided to have a very small wedding that would introduce their guests to a great day in the Caribbean! 

We started the day early on Daydreamer, a boat out of St. Thomas. We traveled to Little Hans Lollick Island, which is an island off the Northern coast of St. Thomas for the secluded ceremony. It was the perfect day to be there. The wedding was completely private and the couple had the wedding of their dreams! 

I oftentimes get asked about clothing and what you should wear for the wedding. The bride wore a gorgeous short dress, which wouldn't get in the way of getting on and off the boat. The groom wore a linen shirt and linen pants. This type of clothing was perfect for this type of wedding. 

After the wedding, everyone changed into their swimsuits and had a wonderful day snorkeling and celebrating on Daydreamer Sailing.

If you want a wedding that is in the Caribbean and on a boat, it's a great way to do something a bit different, Daydreamer comes highly recommended. The staff was courteous and was always very aware of the guests' needs. Check them out for your St. Thomas boat wedding!  

Crown Images Celebrates 10 Years!

This month, Crown Images is celebrating our 10th year of being a St. Thomas wedding photographer! 

When I look at my life 10 years ago and compare it to today, I see two completely different times in my life! 10 years ago, I was an international flight attendant and assisting in photography in Manhattan, New York. Today, I am on an island in Caribbean Sea photographing weddings, families, engagements and honeymooners in the USVI! 

2007

Moving from New York was a huge change of pace for me. I came to St. Thomas on a much-needed vacation and to visit one of my good friends who lived here. I quickly fell in love with the island, the people and the slower-paced environment.

It is so hard to believe that I have been calling St Thomas home for the last 10 years, the time has gone by so fast. It still feels like everyday that I'm taken aback by the beauty of the island and the love from the community I have found here in the Caribbean.

Lately, I've taken to looking through some of my older photos and I can see that my style and my experience has grown exponentially. Here is a photo from each year from when I started as a St. Thomas Wedding Photographer up until now with Crown Images!

I can't imagine being anywhere else or doing anything else! There have been some tough times and there have been some amazing times, but I can't imagine being anywhere else in the world. I've grown to love this island and view the US Virgin Islands as my home.

St. Thomas Honeymoon Photos: Limetree Beach

     I recently had the pleasure of celebrating the nuptials of the new Mr. and Mrs. Byers! They were in need of a St. Thomas photographer for a honeymoon photography session! They chose the beautiful Limetree Beach at Bluebeard's Beach club for their photos.  Check out some of my favorite pictures from their St. Thomas photography session! 

Carrie and Alex make such a cute couple. They were so fun to work with! I thoroughly enjoyed her love for the water and their love for each other. They got married in the states, and came to St. Thomas to celebrate their honeymoon!

Limetree Beach is a stunning beach on the south side of St. Thomas. It's great for destination weddings. The sunset on this beach is hard to beat!
