St Thomas Wedding: Catholic Ceremony

Congratulations to Andrea and CJ!!!!

Their lovely Saint Thomas wedding took place at the beautiful Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral.  It was a elegant traditional catholic ceremony. The church has been under restoration for a few years and it was looking extra stunning on their wedding day. This has to be one of the prettiest churches on St. Thomas. 

This was an extra special location for Andrea and CJ to exchange their wedding vows because the bride’s parents where also married in this church. 

After the ceremony we all headed up the mountain to St Peter’s Great House for the cocktail hour and the wedding reception. We walked through the lush & colorful botanical garden for a few photos of just the bride and groom and later went to the overlook to watch the sun set. The Great House has a great view of Magens Bay and the British Virgin Islands.

The Great House also provides a large ballroom that is air-conditioned that is absolutely perfect for a wedding reception within the botanical gardens. We had a ton of fun celebrating by cutting the wedding cake and dancing. They even tossed the wedding bouquet and the garter. Everything was just so picture perfect!

It was a truly an honor to photograph your wedding day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!

Three Reasons to Elope for your St. Thomas Wedding

One of my favorite beaches to photograph is Limetree Beach. As a St. Thomas Photographer, I get the pleasure of taking photos of families and beach weddings all over the island, but I'm always excited to go back to Limetree. It's really the perfect beach for any time of day! 

A few days ago, I was fortunate enough to shoot this St. Thomas elopement. It was a flawless day for a wedding. This lovely couple chose to read their vows in the early morning, which is the best time to get that bright turquoise color in the water. 

Here, I've included three reasons why it might be better for you to have an elopement instead of a large wedding like these guys did:

1. There are fewer opinions to consider.

When planning a larger wedding, you'll have a lot of dynamics telling you what they think you should be doing. If you decide to elope, only two opinions matter--yours and your significant other's. You can decide the time of day. You can choose your own vendors. You can decide what to do after. You're free from needing to make everyone else happy. It's your day, and you can make it perfect for you. 

2. You will save money by eloping.

You're significantly lowering the cost of your wedding day, if you choose to elope in St. Thomas. You'll have fewer vendors, fewer people, and less stress! These guys chose to have me as their St. Thomas Wedding Photographer and Island Mike as their officiant. After the wedding and wedding photo session, they enjoyed their day on the island and basked in the love of one another. 

3. The day is just about you and your special someone.

This is probably the best part! You get to be with one another and it's just about the two of you! There is something undeniably romantic about having the entire beach just to yourselves when you get married on St. Thomas. You are also already in paradise and ready to start your honeymoon right away in the US Virgin Islands!

Pirate Wedding on Halloween St Thomas

Happy one year anniversary to Erin and Stephen!!!!

Last year on Halloween they exchanged their wedding vows with a handful of their favorite pirates on St Thomas. It was one of those weddings that I will forever remember photographing. 

I am so in love with Erin's mermaid hair and that she carried a lantern instead of a bouquet. 

Limetree Beach was really the perfect backdrop for their photos, it went so well with their pirate attire.

It was one of those epic sunset evenings on St. Thomas and the light was just perfect for their wedding photos.
