They arrived on St. Thomas via a cruise ship and I met them at the Havensight Port. They had exchanged their wedding vows on the ship and wanted to do a "trash the dress" session on Saint Thomas.
After a few photos at the dock we headed over to Lindquist Beach to make these wedding photos...
It was a picture perfect day for photos and Lindquist was just as beautiful as ever.
I’m so thrilled to share with you this fun “trash the dress” session. I recently photographed at beautiful Maho Beach on St John. The couple was celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary and decided to take advantage of St John’s picture perfect backdrop for photography. Here are just a few of my favorites from their TTD session….
I'm a huge fan of the "day after" photo session. The " day after" photo session is when a couple get's dressed in their wedding attire again after the wedding on another day for additional photos. This day doesn't have to be the exact day after the wedding and sometimes the couple doesn't even wear what they wore to their wedding, it is mostly about having a photo session without the wedding. The main reason that a couple would opt for a "day after" photo session is for additional photos with the beauty of the Virgin Islands as a backdrop where they can be totally relaxed and enjoy themselves.
The couple above wanted to have a day after photo session so they could jump in the ocean to "trash the dress" and wanted to also have photos in the morning since they had a sunset wedding. You can view their wedding photos here to see the difference.
