St. Thomas Wedding: Villa Wedding

Congratulations to Jessica and Robert!

They were recently married at The Wedding House. It was a beautiful St. Thomas day in the Caribbean and I’m so thrilled to share their wedding photos with you.

When they started planning to get married they were going to elope. Jessica’s sister was like perfect, “I will be there.” So, her sister talked her into doing a wedding of just the immediate family and once Jessica started planning she made it all happen beautifully.

The details in her wedding dress are amazing.

We did a first look at Lindquist Beach. My favorite moment is when the bride and groom are now together from this point for the rest of the day, yay!

The setting for the wedding ceremony—it’s really just perfect!

You know that moment you turn left where you normally turn right, and it all looks different but you have been there a million times? Well, that’s what happened, I have been to this villa a bunch and I normally walk down to the beach by taking the stairs, but this time we decided to not take the stairs and walk around the back of the house. I’m so thrilled we did so that we were able to make these photos, hope you love them as much as I do.

It was a magical day from start to finish! Wishing you both all the happiness in the world!

Virgin Islands Villa Wedding: Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Smith!!!!

They visited St. Thomas from California on a cruise ship just for the day to exchange their wedding vows at beautiful Villa Serenita. It was a perfect Caribbean day for their ceremony. Here are a few of my favorite photographs:

Mr. Smith, you look so sharp!

Their beautiful daughter was the flower girl.

Of course I always photograph the groom seeing his bride for the first time but this is the first time I had to get the groom’s mom seeing her son and the groomsmen entered. I love her expression!

That moment—this moment—so much love right here!

They wrote their own vows and they were beyond amazing. These two have known each other for 20 years and it was so intimate and perfect.

I hope their daughter forever remembers this moment.

The first kiss as husband and wife!!!!

They were announced and danced in some of the most beautiful light I have seen at this wedding venue.

Villa Serenita: Mr. and Mrs. Potteiger

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Potteiger!!!!!

This has to be one of the happiest groups I have had the pleasure of spending the day with. I know it’s taboo to say the R word at a wedding but I have to say it. It rained at their wedding and everyone was still smiling and had an amazing time. I’m not making this up at all, it was a wedding in the rain (maybe a light misting the moment during the vows) and the sunshine did make an appearance right after they had their first kiss. You just can’t make this stuff up, it was all magic!!!

The first look never ever gets old—I just love seeing the groom’s face as the bride enters the room.

A groomsman said the rain made everything shine, he was right!

That moment of sunshine!!!!

The bride’s sister is amazing! She sang and played the guitar for the bride and groom’s first dance and their parent dances. It was really special.
