They had a "first look" at Trunk Bay Beach prior to their ceremony. I just love Joe's face when he sees his bride for the first time in her wedding dress and how the bridesmaids revealed her with the parasols. Here are a few of my favorite photos from their St John wedding.

A sweet note from the bride that explains why so many people come to the USVI for a destination wedding:
"Peer and I met in 2008 when we were in graduate school at Michigan State University, both doing our PhD's in science (he is currently doing immunology research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and I am doing biochemistry and computational modeling at the EPA). I was born in Budapest, Hungary, but moved to Toronto, Canada when I was ten. Peer was born in Hamburg, Germany, but moved to Lansing, Michigan when he was sixteen. Obviously we've moved around a lot, and our wedding party has friends joining us from Chicago, LA, South Carolina, Michigan, and Toronto, as well as his mom from Germany, his father from Memphis, and my parents from Toronto. This wedding is especially special because all of these people are coming together to one spot; our past, present and future all on one island!"
