St Thomas Synagogue Wedding

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Shkolnik!!!

I'm excited to share with you all the first wedding that I've photographed at The Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas. This beautiful Synagogue is the second oldest in the Western Hemisphere and located in downtown in Charlotte Amalie. 

We all started with the "first look" on the steps of the Synagogue. After we walked around the streets of downtown St. Thomas for a few photos. 

The Rabbi performed a beautiful ceremony. I love that the floor is covered in sand still after all these years.

After the wedding everyone went for lunch to celebrate at the Tavern on the Waterfront.

St John Wedding: Trunk Bay Beach

A few weeks ago, I was happy to be photographing a Real St. John wedding. The day started out calm and cool as I made my way from St. Thomas to the City of Love for the nuptials of this sweet couple. It was a day that would never be forgotten by the couple and their vendors. 

Betsy and Jim are high school sweethearts. They left high school and went their separate directions, only to be reunited on the beautiful island of St. John where they  tied the knot, never to be divided again. Take a look throughout the post for some of my absolute favorite shots from this wedding session. 

I arrived at their rented villa, Deja View, to take some pictures of the lovely bride getting ready. We then did a first look at the villa that overlooks beautiful Rendezvous Bay. This St John villa had such a great layout for a wedding and was perfect for photos. After a few formal shots we went to the world famous, Trunk Bay Overlook.

Trunk Bay Beach is an equally gorgeous venue. Coming in at number one on several lists of the best beaches in the world, there were several places to photograph my new wedding couple on this pristine beach.  

They came together on Trunk Beach with only their closest loved ones to exchange their wedding vows by the salty sea. It was a beautiful evening for a sunset wedding on the beach.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Miller!!!

This wedding was so much fun to photograph! Everything about it feels so St. John to me. We all met up at the Gand Bay Resort, in Cruz Bay, for their pre-wedding photos and the first look. The ceremony was held at beautiful Trunk Bay Beach and the wedding reception at Virgin Fire (aka Viva La Revolution). Here are a few of my favorite photos from their wedding day....
