Caneel bay wedding on st john

I’m so thrilled to share this truly magical wedding that takes place at one of the most magical destinations I know of in the Virgin Islands, Caneel Bay Resort.

It's always a giant compliment when a friend or past client recommends my USVI photography to their friends. That's how I met Liz and John. A mutual friend from New York City suggested that I take the photos for this St. John wedding. It was a true honor to document their amazing wedding day.

We started with photos at the sugar mill ruins for a first look. Liz was beautiful in her dress, which was stunning and the perfect beach wedding gown. John also looked very handsome in his baby blue suit. The contrast of the colors next to the green grass and turquoise waters worked so well to bring together the theme and decor of their special wedding day.

John's father performed the ceremony at Turtle Point. He used to be a minister, so he was the perfect person to officiate their special day. This ceremony was so beautiful and perfectly spoken that it gave me goosebumps. John's dad was a wonderful speaker and made the ceremony so personal and unique to our lovely couple.

Right after the ceremony, we all hopped onto a golf-cart and headed over to the dock to get some photos of the new husband and wife.

After photos, we joined their guests enjoying cocktails on the beach with a steel pan player, which set the tone for the dinner. One of the signature cocktails was a Painkiller. The reception was held at Caneel's Beach Terrace. Roses Too had set up some perfectly chic and tropical centerpieces with beautiful succulents.

It was a beautiful day on St. John from start to finish! Wishing Liz and John a lifetime of happiness!!!!!

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Krueger!!!

I'm thrilled to share a few of my favorite wedding photos from their Caneel Bay celebration. It was a truly magical day with all the different details coming together so smoothly from beginning to end. Caneel Bay Resort is such a unique destination wedding location because it offers so much natural beauty and luxury at the same time. The ceremony took place on the idyllic Turtle Point which features a beautiful overlook right above the ocean making it the perfect spot to say "I do". After the ceremony, a cocktail hour and then reception was held at the close by Turtle Bay Estate House, which offers comfortable spaces inside and outside for family and friends to celebrate in style.

Congratulations to Connie and Jedidiah!!!

I must confess this is one of my favorite wedding location combos on St John; Hawksnest Bay Beach and Caneel Bay Ruins! Something about these two locations always makes me so excited and fall all in love with St John all over again.
